Year Group Curriculum

At Cheadle Primary, our Year Group Curriculum sets out what children will learn across the school year, helping you understand the knowledge, skills and key concepts that support progression from one year group to the next. Each curriculum area is planned to build steadily, with clear expectations for reading, writing, mathematics, science and the wider curriculum, including history, geography, art, design technology, music, computing, physical education and religious education. Teachers use a carefully sequenced approach so that lessons connect to prior learning, strengthen understanding through practice and allow children to apply their skills in meaningful contexts.
