Lunch Time Supervisor

Cheadle Primary School is a vibrant, inclusive and nurturing school where the wellbeing and development of every child is central to everything we do. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team and support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for our pupils.
About the Role
This important role plays a key part in supporting the well-being and daily experience of pupils at Cheadle
Primary School during the lunchtime period. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will help ensure all children
are safe, happy, and engaged, contributing positively to their school day and helping to improve their life
outcomes.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
• has a caring and inclusive approach when working with children from a range of backgrounds,
including those who are vulnerable, have SEND, are eligible for Pupil Premium, are Looked After
Children (LAC), or speak English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• can supervise and support children during lunchtimes both in the dining hall and playground.
• will enthusiastically engage pupils in playground games.
• is able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff to support a positive lunchtime experience
for all.
will encourage healthy eating and positive social interaction.
• will work as part of a team to ensure that lunchtime routines run smoothly and efficiently.
• contributes towards ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
• is observant and proactive in identifying and responding to children’s needs during unstructured
times.
• promotes good behaviour and manages incidents in line with the school’s policies.
• has a friendly, respectful, and professional communication style.
• is motivated to work with children and a commitment to safeguarding their welfare.
• shows a willingness to support the wider school community and contribute to a nurturing and
inclusive environment.
Salary, Working Hours and Contract Type
Salary: Pro rata salary £2,819 (FTE £24,796), hourly rate £12.85
Hours: 5 per week (12pm – 1pm Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent / Term Time only
